The Role
We are looking for Junior and Senior Engineers to join our growing Application & Integration Practice to service our Financial Services sector customers. As an Engineer, you will be working with modern cloud and integration technologies, alongside a team of like minded Versentonians, solving real problems for our Customers!
About you
Hands-on experience building high quality software in Enterprise environments is essential, as you will be expected to participate in all phases of the delivery. You have previous experience working in the Financial Services or a desire to gain exposure in this sector.
To be successful in this role, we’ll expect you to:
  • Work with Customer's defined acceptance criteria.
  • Possess experience with Agile Delivery and bring your sense of ownership to ceremonies like backlog grooming and elaboration.
  • Be able to work in a team and independently.
  • Enjoy working with Enterprise size problems whilst working under a people first culture.
Your Skills & Experience
  • 5 -7yrs experience in Technology, shipping out production grade solutions in Start-ups or Enterprises.
  • Languages & Frameworks
    • Javascript/Typescript, Java, or Golang (required proficiency in at least one, more than one is desirable).
    • Terraform (desirable) or cloud native equivalents.
  • Tools & Techniques
    • Working knowledge of CI/CD.
    • Infrastructure as Code.
    • Automated testing, and test driven development.
  • Platforms
    • Containerisation: Docker or Kubernetes (highly desirable).
    • Cloud: AWS (required), Azure or GCP (highly desirable).
    • Integration: Confluent Kafka (highly desirable).
    • API: Apigee, Kong or cloud native equivalents (highly desirable).
    • CI/CD: Github (or similar), Jenkins/CircleCI (or cloud native equivalents).
